High-Pressure Bidirectional Seat Seals for Ball Valves
The high-pressure bidirectional seat seal is a precision-engineered sealing element designed for API 6D ball valves. It ensures tight sealing performance in both upstream and downstream directions, making it ideal for pipeline isolation, LNG service, and high-pressure oil & gas applications.
High-Pressure Bidirectional Seat Seal
Our bidirectional seat seals combine advanced polymer jackets (such as PTFE, PCTFE, PEEK) with spring-energized technology or metal-backed structures to maintain reliable sealing under extreme pressure and cryogenic temperatures.
The sealing lip is energized by both the system pressure and the spring’s elastic force, ensuring continuous contact with the valve seat metal surface and forming a secure, leak-free barrier.
This design significantly improves performance over traditional elastomer seals, eliminating issues such as rubber softening, expansion, and premature wear. The result is extended valve service life and higher sealing reliability in severe working environments.
Advantages
Bidirectional sealing – Ensures tight shutoff in both flow directions.
High pressure capability – Operates reliably up to 500 bar / 7250 psi (可按你们参数调整).
Cryogenic compatibility – Suitable for LNG, liquid nitrogen, and low-temperature ethylene.
Extended service life – Resistant to wear, extrusion, and chemical attack.
Customizable – Available in PTFE, TFM, PCTFE, PEEK and filled grades for specific applications.
Low friction performance – Smooth operation even under slow or intermittent valve movement.
Clean sealing – Non-polluting materials, suitable for critical gas service and cryogenic systems.
