Glass filled POM wear ring, offers high bearing load capacity over a broad range of temperatures. The function of the wear ring is to guide the piston and piston rod of a hydraulic cylinder, as well as to withstand arising side loads. At the same time, it prevents any metal-to-metal contact, which will damage and score the surfaces and eventually cause seal damage, leakage and component damage.

This wear ring is capable of withstanding high side loads and preventing metal-to-metal contact between the piston and the bore or the rod and the gland.

The phenolic fabric wear ring is made of special desalted white fabric impregnated with phenolic resin by heating and rolling, which is processed by turning. It has high mechanical properties, good oil resistance, low water absorption, and high wear resistance.

The PTFE bronze wear ring is precision-machined to guide a rod or piston to avoid metal-on-metal contact in dry and lubricated applications. A gap is intentionally added to the wear ring to allow fluid flow to and from the seal gland and prevent pressure trap or hydrolock between the seal and wear ring. In the case where the cut ends of the ring touch due to the high thermal expansion of PTFE, an optional radius groove is added on both ends to continue to allow fluid flow.

The PTFE bronze guide strip is to guide a rod or piston to avoid metal on metal contact in dry or lubricated applications. A gap should intentionally be calculated in the cut length to allow fluid flow to and from the seal gland and prevent pressure trap or hydrolock between the seal and wear ring.
