Energized Symmetrical Rod U-Cup Seal
Energized Symmetrical Rod U-Cup Seal is a popular and versatile design with a wide range of applications. The design features a primary sealing material that is further energized by an elastomeric element, frequently an O-Ring. This allows a high sealing force to be created at the sealing lips or allows the use of seal materials that might otherwise have insufficient compression set resistance. This versatility allows this seal to be used across many markets. Manufactured in a variety of materials and sizes from 6 mm up to 2100 mm in standard or custom diameters.

Standard materials are machined H-PU, available up to 2100 mm in diameter, and injection-molded TPU.
To suit a variety of applications, the series is also available in NBR, H-NBR, EPDM, and high temperature-resistant FPM.

APPLICATIONS
Energized Symmetrical Rod U-Cup Seal is ideal for applications requiring high sealing forces. This seal is available in a wide range of materials to cover applications where specialty fluids are present. Often used in conjunction with an anti-extrusion ring, particularly when seal material has insufficient extrusion resistance. The seal is a symmetrical design allowing use for either dynamic OD or ID sealing.
